The Riou Chocolate Factory invites us exceptionally to its workshop to discover what awaits us for Easter!
Here we are behind the scenes of the preparation of the chocolate creations. A faint atmosphere of «Charlie and the Chocolate Factory» surrounds us: we move between the machines of milk chocolate and dark chocolate to arrive in front of the products being shaped. The big versions of eggs immediately catch our eye.
Since the creation of his company, Mr Riou has worked with Maison Valrhona in Tain L’Hermitage to source raw materials. Their collaboration led to the creation of an exclusive chocolate for the Riou chocolate factory, a recipe that is reserved for him and that makes his products unique. He uses this chocolate for Easter.
Mr Riou is passionate about his profession, a passion he shares with his team and which inspires him to innovate again and again. A new dessert is offered every 15 days. In parallel, many products are created for the events that punctuate the year like Easter.
For such an occasion, about twenty original concepts are imagined: the «rastas eggs», the «rock’n’roll eggs», Marguerite the cow, the toucan, the hens or «Wonder»… Dominique Riou and his team always work on offbeat ideas that are out of the ordinary.
Mr Riou works in a sustainable approach. He makes a point of honor to respect the seasonality of the products and to work with local producers. This is particularly the case for his ice cream activity. Indeed, in summer you can also enjoy Riou ice creams. We have tested them and we highly recommend!
