Ardèche mohair – Angora goat breeding – mohair clothes and accessories

Treat yourself by experiencing a moment out of time!
In this exceptional setting, you will discover an Angora goat farm, explained by two enthusiasts.

We are nature lovers and passionate about Angora goats, which are mischievous creatures and have a wonderful fleece.

The Angora goat produces the mohair fibre with exceptionnal characteristics, which make it a top of the range product appreciated for its comfort and its look.

During the visit we'll explain how we manage the flock and the whole process of transforming the mohair.

Transformation:
The goats of the flock are shorn twice a year. Once the mohair is sorted, we bring it to Castres in an Agricultural Collective Interest Company (the SICA Mohair), a collective of Angora goat breeders. Once the wool is prepared, the best french manufacturers transform it according to the precise and strict product specifications of the label "Mohair des Fermes de France (France's Farms Mohair)".

The mohair wool is then turned into many finished products, all of which you can find at the shop on the farm, or on www.mohair-ardeche.fr .

The visit ends at the shop to allow you to enjoy the finished products and the quality of French mohair: wool balls, scarves, plaids, socks, woollen hats, ponchos, pullovers, fingerless gloves... which are all exceptionnally soft and with radiant colours!
