Trois Cèdres – Gîte “Chez Swan”

Cosy gîte at the heart of the Monts d'Ardèche regional natural park. A pretty stone house with a view of the River Eyrieux and the Dolce Via cycle path. Terrace and ground floor garden.

A handsome stone house with a view of the River Eyrieux and the Dolce Via cycle path, with a terrace and a garden. Shady terrace by the kitchen, and ground floor garden behind the bedroom.

The ground floor comprises a kitchen, table, a cosy lounge area with large and beautiful oil paintings.
The kitchen opens onto a large terrace, shared with our house, in case you want to eat outside.

Upstairs, a bedroom equipped with a shower and a bathroom sink, opens onto the garden.
This part of the garden is only for your own personal use.

A double canopy bed (160) is of fine quality. The toilets are separated.
In the kitchen, electric hotplates and a wood-burning stove with oven for when it's cold outside.

Enjoy nice walks within the Monts d'Ardèche regional nature park.
Our house is just across an access to the Dolce via cycle path, perfect for cyclers and hikers.

In summer, you can go bathing in the river Glueyre and eat on the terrace or in the garden. Enjoy nice and warm evenings by the wood-burning stove in the cool season. You can have a picnic in the large garden and on the terraced fields around the house.

Inside the house, you will find an authentic collection of Peter Swan's paintings, a contemporary painter from Bristol (UK).
The gite is located next to our house, on green terraced fields, typical from the Boutières area, surrounded by a wild forest.

We practice permaculture, and have an eco-friendly way of life. The spring water from Gluiras is delicious. We use wood for heating and have dry toilets.
We will be pleased to share our lifestyle with you!

We are pleased to accomodate everyone. However, due to stairs and steps, walkways and quite steep paths, we only accept children from 13 years old.

Sustainable tourism

Since we moved in back in 2019 in Echarleyre, we have been practicing permaculture (a natural approach of agriculture): we built a spring water container, installed photovoltaic solar panels, created a pond, planted a hundred trees and bushes, set up composting toilets (private indoor dry toilets). Dish soap, laundry detergents and shower gels, as well as the toilet paper that we provide, are eco-friendly and bought bulk
