Festival Musiques en Vivarais Lignon

Between Haute-Loire and Ardèche, the Musiques en Vivarais Lignon festival offers 4 major concerts, 8 "hours with".

From 15 to 27/08/2025, come in great numbers every day to discover the villages of the Plateau, and meet international soloists, top-quality ensembles and the young talents of tomorrow...

Churches, temples and village halls are the setting for unique moments of discovery.
Classical and baroque music are always at the heart of the program.

Twelve concerts are scheduled for the 2nd fortnight of August on the Vivarais Lignon plateau. International soloists and top-quality ensembles, as well as up-and-coming young talent, are expected to entertain large audiences... and discover the villages of the Plateau.

→ Four concert evenings in the "big" towns, featuring top-quality ensembles.
As every year, these concerts are free for students under 18 from the Plateau's music schools, and at a reduced rate for the unemployed and those on minimum social benefits.
* Saturday August 16: OUTSIDER EXCEPTIONAL CONCERT with THOMAS LELEU Tubiste Victoire de la musique. Varied POP and CLASSICAL program without borders.
* Wednesday August 20: ENSEMBLE DOUBLE-FACE voices and instruments Schubert and Lachner in the intimacy of a musical friendship in VIENNA.
* Saturday August 23: LE CONCERT DE L'HOSTEL-DIEU and CAMERA DELLE LACRIME. STABAT MATER" creation around Vivaldi, Cortona, Locatelli...
* Wednesday August 27: ORCHESTRE NATIONAL D'AUVERGNE . String quintet in UT Major by Franz SCHUBERT and Langsamersatz by Anton WEBERN.

→ Eight "Une Heure avec" concert-encounters in smaller towns with few cultural events, or in structures where the public cannot travel, and an event for young audiences.
The "Hours with" events reveal young talents or teaching artists who present their repertoire or their musical instrument, sometimes little-known, through its history and manufacture, and then perform a short recital and chat with listeners. A very popular moment of conviviality, the free admission encourages discovery.

→ A 5-day course from August 17 to 21, offered to amateur choristers, at Tence (Ecole de Musique Intercommunale), under the direction of Joëlle Saunier-Torgue, choirmaster.

→ An off-concert for young audiences and two mediation initiatives for specific audiences: one in EHPAD, and one for young people.
