The Small Museum of Poux takes its name from its location: Poux, a hamlet of Saint-Julien-d’Intres, in a cradle of nature. Here, retired electrician Robert Chassignole invites us to discover his museum of rural life.
The site is a micro-museum housed in a former stable. However, it houses a huge collection of objects of yesteryear. A thousand treasures are on display, tracing the local agricultural and artisanal life since 1790. These are the everyday objects of our grandparents.
The curator of the place is pleased to explain the uses of old tools and know-how with many anecdotes about the trades of yesteryear.
In the small museum, we also find the archives of the village to complete our discovery of its history. The master of the place will also show you his collection of healing stones…
Discover this unusual place from May to October, by booking preferably at 06 70 45 81 74. The visit is free.
